Animal-Kind International's Partner Organization, Have A Heart-Namibia, spays & neuters cats & dogs, for free, in under-served areas. This fundraiser supports 2 HaH-Namibia programs: the AKI-HaH Emergency Fund & the Lifetime Care Program. These are programs that HaH has difficulty getting enough funding for. Donations to this project will fill that gap! All animals receiving care must be s/n'd, if not prior to the provision of Emergency or Lifetime Care, then afterwards, once healthy.

Challenge

Namibia is a huge country, transportation between villages, towns, & larger cities is difficult. Most people who live in Namibia's rural areas are extremely poor. Before Have A Heart, there were no spay/neuter services in most of far flung parts of Namibia. Vet care was very basic & wasn't accessible to most families; even vaccinations & parasite prevention-simple ways to care for a pet, were not accessible. HaH has brought vet care to rural areas & has made it accessible to everyone!

Solution

AKI Partner, Have A Heart, works in Namibia's under-served areas, providing spay/neuter. Among HaH's goals, they strive to keep s/n'd pets healthy throughout their lives. That's where your help comes in. This fundraiser supports the AKI-HaH Emergency Fund (for pets who have or will be s/n'd, from families unable to afford emergency vet care) and HaH's Lifetime Care Program-a simple way to keep s/n'd pets healthy & comfortable-for life. This project fills funding gaps & alleviates much suffering!

Long-Term Impact

The AKI-HaH Emergency Fund & Lifetime Care Program add years of health, happiness, & comfort to the lives of Namibia's cats & dogs. By making sure every cat or dog who has been s/n'd continues to get care throughout their lives, HaH shows their commitment to each pet. Through these two programs, HaH demonstrates that every pet has value, that pets' lives matter, ultimately strengthening the animal-human bond & the belief that all animals have feelings & deserve respect & good care.
