Mayor Potencial goes the distance to serve destitute rural Honduran communities and develop lasting partnerships for lasting impact. We inspire volunteers to disseminate social change and empower youth in Honduras through education. At the heart of our mission is the voice of those we serve. While we are very blessed to be 100% volunteer run we have increasing expenses. Every year we add new projects or we have people contact us with emergency needs. This will help breach that gap.
For our prenatal vitamin project we need to provide filling cabinets to safely lock and secure the vitamins as well as cover the delivery of the cabinets. However a big need for us right now is to cover families that contact us in dire conditions. Normally, they would need medications or transportation to the hospital or funds to cover the hospital visit. Lastly, this allow us to cover our general operational expenses that help keep our organization running.
Having this fund will allow take on more projects as well as help more families. These funds will be used to breach the gap for people that need more funding we will create a campaign but at least temporarily we can help them out rather than having them wait until we raise the funds. Providing the cabinets to the community will ensure that the prenatal vitamins are stored safely and can avoid bugs and rats. The small operational expenses that we have will ensure our organization keeps helping.
Several of the supplies needed will be purchased once and should last for a lifetime. The other operational expenses help our organization continue our work and thanks to our volunteers and partners we can amplify our work. Additionally, having an emergency relief fund will allow us to help families that contact us in dire need. This will help cover the immediate needs for medication or cover their hospital fee or transportation to the hospital. This will allow us to help more people.
