Our crisis email is a lifeline for vulnerable Americans in crisis in a foreign country. This project will ensure we have a full time crisis email advocate available to provide critical, confidential support to Americans suffering with domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking and forced marriage in foreign countries, and to be able to respond quickly for the best possible outcome.
With covid-19 more abusers are at home. Sneaking an email to our crisis line advocate for support, safety planning and resources is the only way for a victim to communicate. We have also had to cut our crisis line hours as our Federal Funding was discontinued. Crisis email is now our main source of communication with victims in crisis around the world.
American victims of gender base violence abroad will be able to communicate by email with our crisis email advocate, safely and confidentially.
Americans victims of gender based violence are even more isolated with covid-19 will have support in their time of crisis.
