GOOD TO BE GOOD, a grassroots nonprofit organization offers an Empowerment Care Program (ECP) to diverse women, girls, and gender-diverse folks with intersecting identities who are experiencing gender-based violence, structural poverty, and facing forms of marginalization who need urgent relief and care. ECP supports include nutritious food boxes, direct cash transfers, gift cards, menstrual and personal aid, a note of positive affirmation, community-based resources, and low-barrier referrals.
Gender inequity & discrimination are substantial threats to lasting peace and development, costing societies tremendously. Women with multiple identities from marginalized communities are at heightened risks of gender-based violence, economic instability, and deepened poverty levels, as these long-standing inequities unevenly affect them. For many, the road to security and safety isn't accessible, as they face numerous institutional and interpersonal barriers that block their pathway to justice.
GOOD TO BE GOOD's Empowering Care Program provides essential restorative care for women, girls, & gender-diverse folks who experience the effects and impacts of violence, poverty, oppression, and marginalization. Contributions will help to ensure intersectional advocacy and low-barrier access to compassionate supports individualized to each person we serve-so that they may sustain their well-being during uncertainty or crisis, providing the conditions to restore healing, stability, and agency.
我们的项目目标to increase access to care services that empower women & gender+ people to build thriving lives w/ trauma-informed, enhancing relief and care and centring their lived experiences in communities. No woman should be set back because their fundamental rights and needs aren't supported. We know the profound value of investing in women and protecting their right to safety & justice and enabling their capacity to exercise power & transformation, which creates lasting benefits for all!
