Many descendants of the Tibetan Bon live in Nepal. Creating Hope International supports Nepalese Bon students who are studying at the Bon Children's Welfare Center in Northern India. Most of their families live in remote villages on the border between Nepal and Tibet. We will be providing support to those living in the affected area, as well as those in other areas of Nepal.
On April 25 a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal. The devastation is great, with many remote areas yet to be reached. While no one at the BCWC was harmed, the families of many of the children, and many others have been devastated. At the major monastery in Katmandu, people are sleeping outside while tremors are continuing. The buildings are still standing, but have developed cracks, which have made them unstable.
The money raised through this project will be given to a trusted local organization working with the Bon in Nepal. The funds will help the Nepalese Bon to re-establish their homes and get them through this difficult time.
Funds raised will help those impacted to be able to rebuild their homes and their lives.
