Unemployment is a very big issue for every nation as it is the biggest reason of the economy of the country not developing. This can be caused due to many reasons like illiteracy, or people choosing for the same profession or lack of skill knowledge etc. It is also observed that the unemployment rate of the rural women and girls is the highest as they are either illiterate or their family members do not allow them to go out and work or they do not have sufficient skill knowledge which could make them to earn. This is the biggest problem in the rural villages as if any household expenses are met by both the husband and the wife then it would be very good or if every member of the family would earn then it will grow the family income and hence will result in a better living. Still due to many reasons these women and girls do not get chance to get employment and become self reliant.
RSKS India is successfully working on the women empowerment & sustainable livelihood from the last 29 years and this has made the confidence & knowledge build up of the organization and it’s team members. Through this knowledge and confidence of making the young women and girls empowered and having a sustainable livelihood, Rajasthan Samgrah KalyanSansthan organized Beauty Parlour Vocational Education School Program under the Build Bright Future for Marginalized Girls project of RSKS India. In this program, around 25 girls and women were selected and then they were taught about the beauty parlour skills at the Beauty Parlour Vocational Education School of RSKS India. This program was of 3 months and the girl and women trainees were taught in both the ways i.e. theoretically as well as practically so that they could understand about the beauty parlour skills in better way. During this program, life skills, EDP, capacity building, sports, SavanMohatsav, Bridal Competition, Mehndi Competion etc were organized for the overall development of these women and girls.
美容院职业教育项目RSKS India set up a strong base for these girls and women as this program taught them a skill through which they are now becoming self reliant. Many trainees are now working and are earning for their family and supporting their family financially. Some of the girls started earning during the 3 months training period and some got selected in the Job fair at the school. Also there are some girls and women who started their own beauty parlour at their house. Through this program, these girls and women got livelihood opportunities and they got a chance to do what they always wanted to do. These girls are now having freedom to work and also now their family members are also understanding how support from every family member could result in less financial burden on them. The girls and women along with their parents thanked RSKS India from the bottom of their heart to make them what they are now “A Brilliant Beautician”.
